Quick Promdi Homecoming
Your City Promdi just got back from Quezon for a very quick (and very bitin) homecoming.
Here's a quick list of things of I enjoyed in my brief stay there:
1. 20-peso halu-halo, with at least five different kinds of fruits, 3 kinds of sago, a dollop of ice cream, served with a side of baranggay tsismis. Chowking halu-halo ain't got anything on them babies.
2. Fresh guyabano juice served just 30 minutes after we reaped it from the tree.
3. Badminton games and tambay session outside our house with all participants aged 5 to 25. We never get old, yo!
4. Large windows open all day and all night. Burglar threat--we don't know that.
5. Summer rains blessing the greenies and unexpectedly refreshing the sweat-drenched promdi people.
I know some of you are itching to back to your own hometowns. Well, go! Go! GO! The best way to spend the summer is to get away from the stifling heat of the city to the earthy humidity of the country.
