The Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation has organized and launched the 2014 Ramon Magsaysay Youth Essay Competition. Everyone aged 15 to 24 years old are invited to compete by writing and submitting an essay on the theme: "MY FAVORITE RAMON MAGSAYSAY AWARDEE: SERVANT LEADERSHIP QUALITIES THAT INSPIRE ME."

Their original announcement can be found in this post.

I really encourage students and professional, especially those from the provinces, to join. This is a nice thing to do for the summer break, and the winners can get IT prizes and the chance to meet any of the 2014 Ramon Magsaysay Awardees in Manila all-expense-paid.

I think my emphasis on this invitation is those youth from outside of Manila because THE COMPETITION IS BASED ONLINE. This really gives the promdis from all the country to get experience in a national competition. It allows the promdis to match their wit and writing abilities with the best that Manila can offer. And besides, don't you think a free trip from the province to the capital is nice?

If you have questions, the official announcement says you can contact Ms. Kiel Fernandez, RMAF Advocacy Officer,  at 521-3166 to 75 loc. 189, or email inquiries to rmyec@rmaf.or.ph.  For updates on the competition, regularly visit RMAF’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/rmafoundation, or its Twitter account at @rmafoundation.
