Cat@lyst: Believe in Change

Your City Promdi works somewhere along Roxas Boulevard, and I was able to get an informal invite to a lunchtime launch of a wonderful collaboration between the Global Shapers of Manila and Globe Tattoo, held last May 2, 2013 at the Ramon Magsaysay Hall.

It's called Cat@lyst: Revolution.

The project seeks to "harness creativity, energy and technology to create change and empower the youth to make a difference in society." It starts with a challenge for youths all over the Philippines to make the change they want within the next five years to happen.

Young people can send proposals for information technology-based projects that will solve various social problems, such as education, health, livelihood, and others. The best proposals will be awarded cash prizes and will be mentored into real fruition through the support of various leaders from the Global Shapers.

For more information, you can check the website www.catalyst.com.ph.

The contest mechanics are there, along with a collection of things that people wish they can change in the Philippines. Even if you're not interested in pitching an idea, you can also join the conversation through the website.
